Many others have already summarized this in Swedish but here’s my go at it.

The day started outside the parliament with the Pirate Partys unauthorized demonstration. All went fine and the police was very nice and helped us find a space for our protests when we moved to the second location. They were very nice and altogether very valuable in creating a nice atmosphere.

After we were finished at the second location we moved for Sergels torg. The demonstration went through Old Town and Drottninggatan all the way to the target and this is how it looked when we arrived and joined up with the other demonstration:

We had however missed some of the most important speeches, but I’ve since found them in the intertubes:

In these speeches there are six women from the ruling block in parliament that promises to tear the law down against the governments wishes, and then to undertake and investigation on what the real surveillance needs are (as this has not been done before… don’t ask me why…).

A lot of people has blogged about this in the last 24 hours but I have a hard time finding links with english content. Found one article at TheLocal.se though (it’s me sitting down filming in the lower left corner ;) )

All together it was a very nice day and I met a lot of interesting people and got to say hello to many bloggers.

Now we’re all just waiting for Parliament to get started so our elected can get to work and shred this foul piece of badly researched law.

TheLocal.se also had a reference to what i wrote about in my earlier post in regards to bullying the opponents.

Getting late now so I’m gonna stop writing… As both you and I know by now, things might get messy if I continue ;)

Alrighty then! These are the one’s I’m gonna “batch post” here… Might create a gallery for the (in total) 400 pictures I took.

If you know I’ve taken a shot of you and you want it, please drop me an e-mail or comment on this post. If you want a full-size (3.5-4.5 Mb) version same thing, comment or drop me a note.

UPDATE

Just back from the late-night protest outside the concert hall. Not very much people attending but the importance is that we were there to keep reminding our MPs that we do not want an FRA-filtered internet. Here’s the photos:

Stoppa FRA affisch - Stop FRA poster
Stop FRA poster…

Today we made the last effort to get our fellow citizens to join us in the manifestation tomorrow against the FRA-law. A lot of flyers distributed and many posters taped in legal places ;) Followed up with a cup of latte in Café Gråmunken in Old Town.

Tomorrow, we’ll see if our efforts has payed off. Tomorrow, we’ll meet the Members of Parliament as they are taking their yearly tour around the official sites in Stockholm. Tomorrow, they’ll hear us protest against their decision to rip our integrity and freedom of speech in pieces.

There is going to be two different demonstrations under two different organizers. Both will have thousands of participants and we’ll meet up at mid-day in Sergels torg (main square in Stockholm).

I would recommend coming to our (Pirate Party) manifestation if you want to greet the MPs and if you want to listen to speeches you should join the other one (Hoppets demonstration). We start ours at 10:30 on Mynttorget near Old Town.

If I have access to an Internet connection I will post images several times during the day (create one post and then update it several times).

So for the latest images from both events you can tune in here all day tomorrow. This time the images are released under a Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 license which means that you are free to use, remix and distribute all photos as long as you reference me (Daniel Nyström, www.icmpecho.com).

My guess is that there will also be some Swedish live-blogging from other people like Rick Falkvinge during the day so if you understand the language or know how to use Google Translate you are free to follow the events.

See you tomorrow!
